12 Suites, 40 Bedrooms, 1 Building
Wedding Room Blocks in New Orleans
The Natchez is a single downtown building with 12 suites and 40 bedrooms that sleeps 4 to 80 guests, which makes it one of the few properties in New Orleans that can hold an entire wedding party (and no outsiders): the wedding couple, parents, bridal party, and invited out-of-town guests all under one roof instead of spread across six-plus floors of a hotel tower.
A conventional room block gives your guests a discount code and a lobby. Everyone checks in separately, sleeps on different floors, and spends the weekend texting each other about where to meet. That works for a 200-person wedding. It does not work for the 30 people who matter most: the ones who need to get ready together, eat breakfast together, and be in the same place at 7 a.m. on the morning of.
Here, the building is the venue for everything that happens around the ceremony.
Getting ready
All of our four-bedroom suites have four bedrooms, 3-4 bathrooms, a full kitchen, and a living room large enough for a hair-and-makeup team to work in. Nearly every bedroom in the building is en-suite, so nobody is queuing for a shower on the morning of the wedding. Book one four-bedroom suite for the bride's side and a second across the hall for the groom's, and the entire getting-ready operation happens on one floor.
The rehearsal dinner and the welcome drinks
Every suite has a full kitchen. We can arrange private chefs, and we will pre-stock groceries and bar before you arrive so the fridge is full when the first car pulls up. Our heated saltwater pool, two hot tubs, and courtyard handle the welcome party and the day-after recovery brunch without anyone leaving the building or booking a venue.
The out-of-town guests
Two- and three-bedroom suites take the couples and small families. Guests who fly in early get a 24-hour staffed front desk, complimentary coffee and tea in the lobby, and in-suite laundry. We’re the best parts of a hotel and a vacation rental all rolled into one.
Location
530 Natchez Street sits between the French Quarter and the Warehouse District: three blocks from Canal Street, under ten minutes' walk to Bourbon Street, and a short walk or ride to nearly every wedding venue and reception hall downtown.
How to map your party to the building
Four-bedroom suites take the bridal party and the getting-ready operation. Three-bedroom suites take parents, siblings, and the couples traveling together. Our two-bedroom suite takes the individual guests and the friends who booked late. Send us a rooming list and we will lay your party out across adjacent suites, and across whole floors for parties over 30.
What we are, and what we are not
We are where your wedding party sleeps. We are not a wedding venue. There is no ballroom, no ceremony lawn, no catering department, and no on-staff event coordinator. If you want the ceremony, the reception, and the rooms all under one contract, book a hotel with a banquet department.
What we have instead is 40 bedrooms, 12 full kitchens, a heated pool, two hot tubs, a courtyard and sun deck, and a front desk staffed 24/7, three blocks off Canal Street. In New Orleans the ceremony and reception are almost always somewhere else anyway, such as a courtyard in the Quarter, a hall in the Warehouse District, or a church uptown. The question is where the 40 people who care most about you are going to sleep, get ready, eat breakfast, and end up at one in the morning. The entire group can utilize our courtyard, sun deck, and cabanas for happy hour get-togethers or the day-after brunch. That is the part we are built for.
The morning after
The pool, the hot tubs, and the courtyard are private to guests, and the kitchens mean brunch for 30 does not require a reservation anywhere. Bags are held after check-out for the guests flying home that evening.
Don’t worry, we can accommodate your whole party.

FAQs
Can The Natchez hold an entire wedding party?
1
Yes. The property has 12 suites and 40 bedrooms in one building and sleeps 4 to 80 guests. A whole-property buyout gives your wedding party the entire building, including the pool, both hot tubs, and the courtyard.
How is this different from a hotel room block?
2
A hotel room block scatters your guests across floors of a shared building. At The Natchez your party occupies whole suites, each with its own full kitchen, living room, and en-suite bedrooms and in a building where you can take every room if you want it. There is no block minimum, just reach out to us so we can help with picking your ideal suites for each of your guests.
Can we host an event or welcome party on site?
3
Yes. Every suite has a full kitchen, and we arrange private chefs and grocery and bar pre-stocking. The pool deck, two hot tubs, and courtyard are available to guests for welcome drinks and day-after brunch. We are extra flexible with a whole-building buyout.
How far is The Natchez from downtown wedding venues?
4
530 Natchez Street is three blocks from Canal Street, between the French Quarter and the Warehouse District, meaning that we’re easy walking distance or a short ride from all downtown ceremony and reception venues.
How do we reserve multiple suites?
